Advertisement for The Strad magazine

I designed the advertisement of the violin masterclass at the Menton Music Festival (Côte d’Azur, France) for The Strad magazine.

Pavel SHUDNEV

The Strad magazine is published since 1890. It is read in Europe, Asia, America and Australia and is the number one magazine among musicians. That’s why the administration of the Zakhar Bron School of Music (Zürich, Switzerland) decided to advertise its summer masterclass in it, aiming to attract participants from around the world.

To achieve this goal, the advertisement had to show the advantages of the masterclass. The big headline gives the answers to the questions what is going to happen, where and when. The photos of the professors illustrate the most important aspect: the teachers. It’s simple and understandable.

In the upper part of the advertisement one can see the picture of the Menton seaside at night. This resort town is called “the pearl of France” for its beauty. Since 1949 it hosts the Menton Music Festival during which the summer violin masterclass took place.
